![]() Not that the rest of the books didn’t have some heavy stuff, this book just took on some different things. What I enjoyed most about this book was that it took on a very series turn of events which I really was not expecting. But I’m always so glad to see him come back. There was a short return of Jesse and every time he makes an appearance, my heart just breaks a little more for him. She found her place in this “new world” she was in and learned to embrace her gifts. ![]() ![]() But Sinclair and Abby gave us something so much better. In my head that looked something like what her life was before the accident that left her dead for 44 minutes. I was really hoping that Abby would finally be able to get her life back on track now that the worst parts were behind her. You cant help but feel sympathetic for her. Poor girl, she’s doing the best she can, but with not sleeping she was on the verge of having a mental breakdown. I feel so bad for her because of everything that she has been through and we are reminded just how much when we find out she hasn’t slept through the night since she left the island from the last book. The book starts with Abby trying to get her life back together. Of course I knew at the time that there are 13 books in the series, so I know there’s so much more to come with this series. ![]() Especially with how the 3rd book ended because I just felt like that was finally the end of what Abby was going through. This being the 4th book in the series, I really didn’t know what to expect. ![]()
